UPDATE! Cheer and Mascot Tryouts have been moved due to the Lady Cats Basketball Playoff game on February 12. Congrats Lady Cats!
Tryouts will be February 13. Cubcat candidates will be dismissed from class to get ready at 1:45pm and will report to the OLD GYM at 2:30pm. Cubcat Tryouts will begin at 2:45. Bearcat candidates will need to report to the OLD GYM by 3:30.
There will be an open gym time today from 6:00-6:30 in the OLD GYM.
De Leon Elementary began their morning with an exciting paw print hunt around campus! There were 100 hidden bearcat paws to celebrate 100 days of school! Students brought their paw to the office and traded it for a sweet treat 🐾 🍬

Parents, sickness has reached us district wide. We are doing our part in sanitizing and encouraging hand washing but please monitor your child’s temperature if they are feeling sick and keep them home if they have fever or are vomiting!! We want our students healthy and here! Thank you 😊

Gage Calhoun placed 5th today with his goat! Congratulations Calhoun family !
The second and third grade GT students went to the Region 14 Service Station Maker Space. The theme of the day was gardening since that is one thing we are studying about in GT class. The students got to plant seeds, jump a robot grasshopper over some “crops”, create a light show, paint a cactus printed on a 3D printer, and we ended the day with a STEM challenge where the students had to make attachments on a robot that would harvest “cotton”. The boys won the challenge. They had a wonderful day!
