The second and third grade GT students went to the Region 14 Service Station Maker Space. The theme of the day was gardening since that is one thing we are studying about in GT class. The students got to plant seeds, jump a robot grasshopper over some “crops”, create a light show, paint a cactus printed on a 3D printer, and we ended the day with a STEM challenge where the students had to make attachments on a robot that would harvest “cotton”. The boys won the challenge. They had a wonderful day!
The fourth grade music program is tonight at 6:00 in the cafeteria. Please park and enter through the back gate 🎶🎤

Stick Night is set up and ready for tonight! We are asking for volunteers to have our healthcare students make clean "sticks" in order to certify them in Phlebotomy. Stop by the gym foyer between 5 PM to 8:30 PM if you are interested in volunteering. 💉

Valentine Candy gram forms are being sent home with your student today on a pink sheet. Send as many as you would like to anyone in our school! Students can request more forms in the library. All forms are due to school by February 8th. 💕

Due to inclement weather, De Leon ISD will have a late start Tuesday, January 16th. Buses will run 2 hours later than normal. Staff will need to report by 9:45 AM and school will start at 10 AM... The safety and well being of our staff and students is always our top priority. We appreciate your understanding.

If you are picking up a student on Lamar side pickup, please refrain from making a right hand turn onto Pecan street. This is causing a safety concern as we have students being picked up and dismissing on Pecan. Thank you for doing your part in keeping our students safe!!
