Please help us welcome Coach Stokes to the De Leon ISD coaching staff! Coach Stokes has already been making an impact in the classroom at De Leon, and we are excited to now add her to our athletics program as well.
Coach Stokes has 7 years of teaching experience and 3 years of coaching experience. She earned her Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and Sports Nutrition from Tarleton State University and previously started an athletics program at a private school where she helped lead several athletes to the state level.
Her coaching philosophy focuses on building a positive and supportive environment where athletes are encouraged to grow, compete, and overcome adversity with confidence. She emphasizes effort, teamwork, mental toughness, and continuous improvement while helping student-athletes become confident individuals on and off the court.
Outside of coaching, Coach Stokes enjoys spending time with her family, raising miniature cows, and traveling. She and her husband, Joseph, moved to their family ranch in De Leon three years ago with their children Lane, Luke, and Leah. Luke and Leah are excited to be part of Bearcat Country!
We are excited to officially welcome Coach Stokes to the Bearcat coaching family!

NO SCHOOL Friday, May 8th (Student Holiday) and Monday, May 11th (Bad Weather Day).
Have a great extended weekend! We’ll see everyone back on Tuesday, May 12th.

Coach Bishop believes that consistent effort, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and grow are key ingredients for success. She is passionate about helping student-athletes develop not only in their sport, but also as individuals who contribute positively to their team and community.
In addition to coaching, she invests in the youth of De Leon by advising stock show students. As an agricultural educator, her philosophy centers on developing well-rounded, involved students who take pride in their work both inside and outside the classroom.
Outside of school, Coach Bishop enjoys reading, camping, painting for her small business, and raising her family’s show pigs.
She is excited to be back and looks forward to getting back on the court. Welcome Coach Bishop!

His coaching philosophy centers on building strong relationships with athletes, believing that trust is the foundation for helping them reach their fullest potential. He brings a high-energy approach to everything he does—always ready to “bring the juice” and create an exciting, competitive environment for our student-athletes.
Outside of school, Coach Cox enjoys spending time with his family and watching sports, especially football, hockey, and college basketball. He and his wife, Ashton, have two children, Dawson and Landry.
We’re excited to have Coach Cox and his family join the Bearcat community!
